  1. Appreciate the importance of STI571 (imatinib mesylate) in treating a subset of soft tissue sarcomas in adults.
  2. Learn about other investigational agents with promising activity in the treatment of soft tissue sarcomas in adults.
  3. Learn about approved agents with early evidence of activity in soft tissue sarcoma.
  4. Learn about ongoing clinical trials in soft tissue sarcoma, which may be appropriate for patient referral.
