  1. Describe the use of epoetin alfa in the prevention and treatment of anemia related to cancer and its treatment.
  2. Discuss ongoing clinical issues with epoetin alfa, including alternative dosing options and the benefits of early intervention for anemia.
  3. Identify additional nononcologic clinical applications for epoetin alfa currently under investigation.
