Learning Objectives
After completing this course, the reader should be able to:

  1. Describe the current standard of care for the treatment of advanced pancreatic cancer.
  2. State the rationale for treating refractory, advanced pancreatic cancer with the novel oral topoisomerase-I inhibitor rubitecan.
  3. Describe how the phase II trial results of oral rubitecan in pretreated, advanced pancreatic cancer compare with those from prior trials of rubitecan and gemcitabine in advanced pancreatic cancer.
