Learning Objectives
After completing this course, the reader should be able to:

  1. Discuss the incidence of low-grade gliomas and list the various diagnostic methods employed for this group of tumors.
  2. Identify the factors that influence treatment decisions and the various treatment options available for low-grade gliomas.
  3. Outline the evidence regarding resection, radiation, and chemotherapy for the treatment of low-grade gliomas.
  4. List the specific subsets of low-grade glioma and the unique diagnostic, prognostic, and treatment factors associated with each subset.
  5. Describe the different treatment-related complications that are relevant for the low-grade glioma patient population.
