Learning Objectives
After completing this course, the reader should be able to:

  1. Discuss the impact of novel agents on the treatment paradigm for multiple myeloma.
  2. Explain the importance of combination regimens and in particular the ability to rechallenge patients with a combination of drugs that may each have been administered separately before.
  3. Describe the toxicity profiles of the agents being used with a on key side effects and discuss the potential value of these agents in special populations, such as those with renal failure.
