The Oncologist CME Online uses the power of the Internet to provide essential continuing medical education courses to the medical professional community who either specialize or have an interest in the field of oncology medicine. We rely on our users to provide basis data that includes mailing and e-mail addresses, as well as information on the medical specialties in which they serve. In addition, user feedback and course evaluation interfaces allow us to better understand the specific needs of medical professionals, and to ensure that our course content is meeting those needs.

- We do not release proprietary database information about your use of our site, including mailing and e-mail addresses, to any third party.
- Personal information, including the name of the individual user, is private to The Oncologist CME Online faculty, the School of Medicine of The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME).
- We collect the domain name and email address of users to our site, information volunteered by the user such as quiz/evaluation information and/or site registrations. The information we collect is used to notify users about updates, provide confirmation on course completions, and to facilitate the peer-review analysis of our content conducted by the CME faculty. This information is not shared with other organizations for commercial purposes.
- We use industry-standard data-encryption technology when we transfer and receive personal information on our site. We maintain appropriate security measures in our physical facilities to protect against loss, misuse, or alteration of information we have collected from you at our site.
- With regard to "Cookies:" "Cookies" are bits of information that are stored on your computer that help identify you when you visit The Oncologist CME Online website. They are solely used to facilitate the login process so that your username and password will not have to be entered each time you visit the site to participate in a CME course offering. When you first log into the site to participate in a course, you can choose whether to use the site with or without cookies.
